Seriously who was in charge of casting this film?

For those of you who haven't heard, a live action DragonBall movie is in the works and is expected for release in 2009.

The Good:
The asian girls are hot, I haven't seen them in anything though so that's all I can say.
I liked Randall Duk Kim in the old TV series Kung Fu haha. Think he'd make a great Grandpa Gohan.
Joon Park is HOT! But, once again, don't know anything about him.
I've personally always liked Chow Yun-Fat. I don't know about him as Master Roshi though...
What I really don't understand is why such an accomplished actor as he would be interested in this project. I have a feeling this movie might not do so well. Which of course, brings me to...

The Bad:
James Marsters, who even thought of him? The only thing people know him as is that snarky punk from Buffy. Piccolo is my favorite character, just hoping he doesn't screw this up. Apparently, he's a fan of the series, so he can't be too bad...I guess.

And also, why is it that all the main characters are white and the supporting actors are all Asian? It just doesn't sit right with me. If this is a fantasy thing I guess it's all right but if they try to set it in Japan it'll just seem weird.

And of course, Emmy Rossum. I love Emmy Rossum. She's beautiful and talented. But Bulma? Come on. Everything Rossum's done up to this point has mostly been sweet, girlish roles. I can't see her as Bulma at all. I found this really cool little short on youtube which shows she might at least look the part though.

On a similar note, Rossum's album doesn't suck ass as much as I thought it would. Her single Slow Me Down, reminds of that song by Imogen Heap. Most newgrounders won't like but it's not bad imo.
